The Criptonite Lab will enter its second round in 2026. The programme is aimed at artists from Switzerland with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses who work in the fields of theatre, dance, drag or performance art.

A total of 10 places are available, 8 of which will be allocated via an open call.

The Lab focuses on storytelling, humour and joy. The programme includes a multi-day workshop with the British artist collective Touretteshero. The Lab is complemented by group warm-ups, artistic input, and time and space for exchange, community-building and the further development of one’s own practice.

Extensive stage experience is not required; emerging artists are also expressly welcome.

Participants will receive a daily allowance of CHF 250. Travel expenses will be covered by Criptonite. Criptonite will cover accommodation on site for those not resident in Zurich if an overnight stay is necessary for accessibility reasons. A communal lunch will be provided for all participants. Upon agreement, Criptonite will cover fees for support staff.
