  • Steplessly accessible

In ‘SHOUT TWICE’, Katerina Andreou and Mélissa Guex come together out of a need to transform the raw intensity of emotions into playful energy, strength and joy. During the performances, they join forces and set a shared cry in motion, which becomes a collective movement. Gestures, rhythms and vibrations spread between the performers and the audience. Conceived as a performative concert, the piece  is an invitation to join a movement that liberates, connects in the simplest of ways and resonates far beyond the imagination.

Accessibility information

  • Duration: The performance lasts 50 minutes without a break and is not language based.

  • Lighting: During the performance, spotlights are directed at the platform in the centre of the room and at the performers, and may also shine onto the audience. There are occasional slow and fast changes between light and dark. At three points during the performance, there is a complete blackout.

  • Sound: The performance features intense, bass-heavy sounds, which may not necessarily be physically felt. The sound is evenly distributed throughout the space.

  • Audience and Interaction: The two performers address the audience without words and use gestures to ask them to come closer or to make space. Both performers move through and around the audience.

  • Audience Arrangement: The audience is arranged in a circle around a platform in the centre of the room. One can choose how close you would like to be to the action on the platform, although this will affect your sightlines. There is standing room around the platform. In addition, three folding chairs are placed at the entrance as accessibility aids and can be moved freely around the room. There are two beanbags and spaces for two wheelchairs. There are also two stage platforms along the walls that can be used as seating. However, the view from these positions is limited.
