Dear visitors to the Gessnerallee, dear culture enthusiasts, dear artists

Do you already know all the nooks and crannies of Gessnerallee? Do you know what rooms are hidden behind the orange walls and turquoise-coloured shutters? Have you already experienced a concert in the north wing, an exhibition on the south stage, a party at Stall6, or a performance in the large hall? Or have you ever been to the Lower Stage, the Workshop, the Studios or the Red Container? And above all, do you know that most of the rooms can be used not only by us but also by you? Gessnerallee makes its premises available for hire as long as it is compatible with the theatre's performance schedule.

If you are planning a company event, a trade fair, a celebration, a conference or other events, the hall, the south stage, the north wing and Stall6 can be hired in their entirety. The same applies to public cultural events that are programmatically compatible with the profile of the house (such as the JAZZNOJAZZ FESTIVAL or the Kitchen Battle Zurich). Interested? Please contact us at vermietungen@gessnerallee.ch. For last-minute bookings: There are still slots available in the north wing and in Stall6 between now and the start of the winter holidays.

The Stall6 Bar is ideal for aperitifs with friends, family celebrations or after-work get-togethers. We will be happy to put together a drink and snack menu for you. If you are interested, please contact us directly at: stall6@gessnerallee.ch.

The same applies to the Riithalle restaurant. Here, too, there is a suitable solution for almost every type of event. The Riithalle team will be happy to advise you at reservation@riithalle.ch.

Professional artists from the independent scene can ask us for free use of the studios for rehearsals, even if they are not producing at Gessnerallee. Unbooked studios are released for external use two months in advance. If you are interested, please contact us at info@gesssnerallee.ch.

And now our weekly overview of programme items, newspaper articles, news and everything we want to share with you:

‘UNTER UNS - Eine Reise in die Tiefe des Bodens’ by Dimitri de Perrot

Dimitri de Perrot uses sound as a central theatrical narrative device in his expansive productions. In ‘UNTER UNS’, visitors enter an inflatable shell that takes up the entire performance space and makes the outside world disappear. Inside, they encounter an expansive, sounding and trembling floor. As a giant musical instrument, it invites you to lie down and listen. Duration 70 minutes. More information

Newspaper

Tsüritipp

Today we're not talking about our newspaper, but about a new cultural journalism project: the ‘Tsüritipp’. The Zurich city magazine ‘Tsüri’ wants to inform readers about cultural life in the city of Zurich with a new cultural newsletter every Thursday. The newsletter will contain editorial articles and information on events. More information on the recent project can be found in an interview with Simon Jacoby, founder and editor-in-chief of ‘Tsüri’, conducted by ‘persoenlich.com’.

The founding of ‘Tsüritipp’ is a direct reaction to the cancellation of Tamedia's ‘Züritipp’. You can find more information on this in the joint statement by numerous cultural institutions.

To make the ‘Tsüritipp’ a reality, ‘Tsüri’ launched a crowdfunding campaign on Monday. We support this crowdfunding and are very much looking forward to the new ‘Tsüritipp’. Every Swiss franc indirectly supports culture. Let's go! To the crowdfunding
