SONOSYNTHESIS is a collaborative project presented by MigrArt. Bringing together musicians from Switzerland and other parts of the world, SONOSYNTHESIS is a musical exploration of (trans)cultural, social and political intersections between musicians who are in community with each other across borders. The project was born from a series of residencies that took place in 2023 with 11 different musicians. During the residencies the musicians explored ideas around collective authorship, “noise”, belonging, exclusion, care and community.
To launch the SONOSYNTHESIS album, a release tour across Switzerland takes place featuring Yasmine El Baramway, NÂR, Kay Zhang, LEGION SEVEN, tracy september, and Siavash Nameshiri. Evoking the spirit of the initial residencies, the tour is an opportunity to experience the energy of the album live. With solo and collective performances, catching a live show will be an opportunity to encounter this new and unexpected sonic language in person.
