At the beginning of 2024, a new funding model was introduced for the dance, theatre and performance landscape in the city of Zurich. This model includes several measures at different levels. You can find detailed information on this under the following link https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/konzeptfoerderung

The exchange on 4 September will focus on the measures that most concern the four co-production institutions (Tanzhaus Zürich, Fabriktheater, Gessnerallee and Zürcher Theater Spektakel) and the artists who work at these venues. This includes, among other things, the measure that allows the aforementioned institutions to award funding directly to artists. These could previously be applied for from the City of Zurich Culture. In addition, there is the concept funding scheme, which allows artists to apply for 2 to 4 years of funding from the City of Zurich Culture.

1.5 years after the introduction of the model, artists and representatives of the four institutions will come together to share their experiences, challenges and ideas for the future in the ‘Fishbowl’ discussion format. The dialogue will be moderated by journalist Marguerite Meyer.

Everyone who is interested in and concerned about the topic is invited.

To enable us to plan the event better, please register via info@gessnerallee.ch by Mon, 1 September 2025. Free admission.
