What do you find sexy? Which bodies, actions or images do you find attractive - and why? What view do you take? Who is the subject of lust at this moment - and who is perceived as an object for their satisfaction? Did you ask?

«EAT ME NOW!» by FLUX Crew deals with the objectification of female-read and queer bodies: How can these power mechanisms be uncovered? How are they reinforced by the fetishisation or devaluation of lesbian sexuality? And how could a Lesbain Gaze be developed that creates an alternative image of sexiness and tenderness?

Five queer dancers with different movement backgrounds from contemporary dance, breaking, dancehall, afro, hip hop and swimming try together to unravel and ultimately transform western patriarchal ideas of sexuality and hotness.

Following the performance on Thursday 22 May, the premiere party will take place in Stall6 until 01:00AM with DJ's ®iginal ©py and pr1nc1p3ss4.

Plain Language

  • Eat Me Now! is a dance piece by the FLUX Crew.

It's about how people look at bodies.

    Especially female bodies.

And especially the bodies of lesbians.

Lesbians are women who love other women.

    The piece poses questions:

    - Which bodies are beautiful?

    - Which bodies are sexy?

    - How can people change their opinion of other bodies?

    The dancers want to show:

There are many ways to be sexy and tender.

    They show this through dance.

They mix many dance styles such as hip hop or dancehall.

    ®iginal ©py

With a preference for repetitive voice snippets, random sound samples, rhythmic repetitions and bouncy basses, ®iginal ©py creates sound worlds somewhere between original creations, found footage and DJ selections. Neither original nor copy. Neither here nor there. But always influenced by intersectional queerfeminist discourses and ®iginal ©py's trans non-binary reality of life.

    pr1nc1p3ss4

pr1nc1p3ss4 spins genre-blending sets full of emotion, energy, and edge. Her sound moves between dreamy textures, bold basslines, and unexpected twists—always with heart.
