Dear visitors to Gessnerallee, dear artists and those interested in the arts

This is our first weekly letter. From now on, we'll provide weekly on Wednesday after sunrise insights into our programme, write about the work of our team and artists, share feedback from visitors, reflect on the past and the future and make recommendations for a rich cultural life both in Zurich and internationally.

Right now, we are working intensively on the new image of the Gessnerallee and the corresponding communication channels. New posters are already hanging on the facade of the building and will soon be on display around the city of Zurich. We have just launched our website and published our first posts on social media. We are looking forward to your curiosity and you visiting us here - on site or digitally.

On our website you will find information about the current programme from September to November, our newly published newspaper and the vision and concept for the Gessnerallee of our two artistic and managing co-directors Kathrin Veser and Miriam Walther. The design and architecture of the website is created and programmed in such a way that we can continuously develop it in line with user needs. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at the Bodara graphic design studio and the developers at the novu agency. Please let us know your initial impressions and send your feedback to Rahel Bains (bains@gessnerallee.ch).

So now it's time to warm up for our upcoming season with cool drinks, performance art and a dip in the lake - and the best way to do that at the moment is at the ‘Zürcher Theater Spektakel’, whose programme we can warmly recommend to everyone.

Before our programme officially starts on 27 September, there are two opportunities for a preview of artistic works. Either at the workshop ‘NOW NOT NOW’ by the artists Rosana Cade, Ivor MacAskill, Tim Spooner, Yas Clarke or at the sharing of the ‘Crip Lab’ by Criptonite.
