«Workshop: Integrated audio description»
Quiplash (Amelia und Al Lander-Cavallo)

Are you an artist who wants to make your practice more inclusive? Then come to Quiplash's workshop for integrated audio description! No previous experience necessary.

  • Tue 12/10 2:00 – 6:00 PM

    Halle Ost, Halle West

  • Wed 12/11 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    Halle West, Halle Ost

The workshop will take place under the direction of Quiplash (Amelia and Al Lander-Cavallo).

Join Quiplash to explore what it means to integrate audio description into performance, queerly. This will be done over two 4-hour sessions taking place at Gessnerallee. If you are completely new to audio description, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. We will start with a whistle stop tour through disability awareness and disability justice, then we will talk through different methods of audio description including our own methodology, queer AD. Finally, we will give you ample space to start exploring how to make audio description a creative tool that is integral to your work. This session will be practical, so please come with a willingness to move, play and try new things.
