The “volumes art publishing days” is a two-day fair for zines and art books, where local and international independent publishers as well as self-publishing artists who work with small-format production methods present their works. In addition to a careful selection of publishers and artists presenting their publications to the public, there will also be a number of low-threshold activities such as games, interactive exhibitions, performances, and other exciting formats related to art publications.

  • The workshops, book clubs and discussions at the exhibition tables will be held in English and/or German and will not be amplified.

  • All settings for workshops, book clubs and exhibition tables are wheelchair accessible.

  • Participation in the workshops is on a first come, first served basis.

  • Beanbags for people with accessibility needs can be requested at the information point in the north wing.

  • Stall6 offers cold and hot drinks and a small selection of food, including sandwiches (also vegetarian) and vegan Biberli.

  • volumes ist eine Non-Profit-Organisation und ein Kollektiv, das 2013 von Anne-Laure Franchette, Patrizia Mazzei und Gloria Wismer in Zürich gegründet wurde. Mit ihren gemeinsamen Hintergründen in den Bereichen Kunst, Verlagswesen und Mediation entwickelten sie eine Plattform mit dem Fokus, die unterrepräsentierten Praktiken von selbst verlegenden Künstler*innen und Kleinverleger*innen sichtbarer zu machen. Mit Veranstaltungen und Recherchen möchte volumes zu einer Community beitragen, die das Publizieren als ein Instrument für Dialog, Empowerment und künstlerische Forschung nutzt. Mit den «volumes Art Publishing Days», einer Messe für Verleger*innen, waren sie schon an verschiedenen Orten und Institutionen in Zürich zu Gast, unter anderem im Perla Mode, in der Kunsthalle Zürich, dem Helmhaus, der Zentralwäscherei, der Rampe des ehemaligen Löwenbräukunst-Areal und an der Gessnerallee.
