The “volumes art publishing days” is a two-day fair for zines and art books, where local and international independent publishers as well as self-publishing artists who work with small-format production methods present their works. In addition to a careful selection of publishers and artists presenting their publications to the public, there will also be a number of low-threshold activities such as games, interactive exhibitions, performances, and other exciting formats related to art publications.

About the artists

volumes is a non-profit organization and collective founded in Zurich in 2013 by Anne-Laure Franchette, Patrizia Mazzei, and Gloria Wismer. With their shared backgrounds in art, publishing, and mediation, they developed a platform focused on raising the visibility of the underrepresented practices of self-publishing artists and small publishers. Through events and research, volumes aims to contribute to a community that uses publishing as a tool for dialogue, empowerment, and artistic research. With the “volumes Art Publishing Days,” a fair for publishers, they have already been guests at various locations and institutions in Zurich, including Perla Mode, Kunsthalle Zurich, Helmhaus, Zentralwäscherei, the ramp of the former Löwenbräukunst area, and Gessnerallee.
