Choreography meets the techno rave scene. Together with eight performers, UK-based choreographer Hofesh Shechter explores the freedom, energy, and intimacy found in both club culture and contemporary dance: a collective experience for all the senses!

In 2018, the Shechter II Company was launched as a support project for young dancers. The principle is simple: every two years, the choreographer selects eight exceptional and talented young artists to join his Junior Company. As part of this employment, the ensemble members not only get to know Shechter's artistic work better, but also have the opportunity to further develop and expand their own dancing skills.

‘IN THE BRAIN’ is presented as part of the Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps.

Moving introduction on 13 March

On 13 March at 7:15 p.m., a ‘moving introduction’ with Chien-Ming Chang from the Shechter II Company will take place at Stall6. The audience is invited to experience the piece in a physical way. In this format, simple movement sequences from the piece will be taught and central themes will be explored through improvisation. The introduction will last approximately 15-30 minutes.
