The Swiss Performance Award increases the visibility of Swiss performance art, showcases its diversity and quality, strengthens its recognition and honours it. This annual national competition is aimed at artists or collectives who are active in the field of performance art through their training, working methods or presentation practice.
The Canton of Zurich will host the Swiss Performance Award 2024. The seven nominated artists will present a recent or specially developed performance at the public event. Based on the performances,the winner of the Swiss Performance Award will be decided by the jury. This is honoured with prize money of CHF 30'000, plus a special audience prize of CHF 5000. This year's jury is made up of Séverine Fromaigeat, Stefanie Knobel, Patrick de Rham, Davide-Christelle Sanvee and Kathrin Veser.
