Has sex positivity gone overboard? Has the possibility of having sex become an obligation - from the forbidden to the required? What distinguishes our queer-feminist spaces from the mainstream, and where do patriarchal logics smuggle themselves back in? What does sex stand for? What is it supposed to fulfil or prove? And is there perhaps a defiantly pleasurable way out of the sexual pressure to succeed in the form of courageous boredom, listlessness, turn-off, dysfunction, failure?

A benevolent discussion group to share your discomfort, to ask difficult and seemingly forbidden questions, to breathe a sigh of relief because you are not alone and are not simply broken, uptight or otherwise wrong.

Beate Absalon

Beate is the author of the non-fiction book ‘Not giving a fuck. Von lustlosem Sex und sexueller Lust: gesellschaftliche Zwang überwinden und lebendige Intimität finden’. In her workshops on inventive play with sexuality(www.luhmendarc.com), she supports participants in the sustainable development of their ability to act, which also requires them to pay attention to less sexy feelings. Sceptical of big promises of transformation and authenticity, her approach is characterised by humour and deconstruction.
