Kitchen Stories is a live cooking event that connects people in Zurich with those abroad. Together with a family member, friend or someone close to you who lives in another country, participants cook simultaneously at two different locations. Via a live video link, the participants in Zurich interact with the cooks abroad.

For the event at Stall6, artists Olivia Wiederkehr and Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki are inviting visitors to a special Kitchen Stories session. Together with MOSAIK, the organiser of the Intercultural Programme Weeks, they will be experimenting with a traditional Greek dish. This will serve as a starting point for philosophical, cultural and biopolitical discussions. What does cooking together tell us about care and community?

Together, we’ll experience a live culinary connection: Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki will be cooking with friends at Yellow Brick in Athens, whilst Olivia Wiederkehr and the MOSAIK team cook alongside guests at Stall6 in Zurich at the same time. Same recipe, same moment, shared stories.

MOSAIK – Intercultural Program Weeks

The MOSAIK association is organising the City of Zurich’s Intercultural Programme Weeks for 2026–2029. The diverse team shares a background in transdisciplinary art and cultural practice and collaborates with partners from the arts, culture, education and civil society across Zurich. The aim is to highlight cultural diversity and create new forms of participation in public life. Zurich is seen as a vibrant mosaic of stories, languages and experiences – a city that is constantly evolving through encounters.

  • MOSAIK with Olivia Wiederkehr and Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki

  • Olivia Wiederkehr is a multidisciplinary artist. Performance, video, sculpture, language and linguistic expression, photography, large-scale installations, scores and olfactory interventions in public space are her means of translating philosophical and existential questions into sensorially perceptible forms, situations and happenings. Her works, often developed collaboratively, take place predominantly in public, urban spaces and operate within the field of ephemeral, sculptural monuments.

Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki  is the Founder and curator of Yellow Brick (since 2016). Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki is a visual artist and educator whose practice explores everyday rituals—both personal and communal—to reveal the dense, complex, and vulnerable intersections of history. Her work, much like the mycelial threads beneath a forest floor, connects unseen histories and raises questions rather than offering conclusions.
