Everything is temporary, but leaves traces. Taking place during the month of March are concerts, workshops, listening sessions, film screenings, kiosk, exhibitions, rituals and more in Südbühne at Gessnerallee. Having this space we aim to mix presence with feelings, attitudes, sounds, material and smell to create a moment in itself, fugitive and vibrant.

Open from: 3 - 28 March, Sunday to Friday (closed on Saturdays)

    (tea + snacks on site)

Throughout the mid-1980s viewers tuning in late at night to Los Angeles’s KTTV Channel 11 could catch a broadcast unlike any other: ETERNITY’S PILLAR, a journey through the astral plane created and hosted by jazz visionary and spiritual guru Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda. Blending music, meditation, chanting, and an avant-garde video-art aesthetic, this singular audiovisual experience—four episodes of which are presented here—is a sublimely cosmic expression of Coltrane’s deep-held belief in music’s capacity to attain spiritual transcendence.

    space 8pm
    start 9pm

VÍZ is the experimental solo project of Hungarian Transylvanian multidisciplinary artist Réka Csiszér. It delves into themes of fragmented identity through processed acoustic liminal sounds, analog synthesis, Székely folklore, horror, diaristic arias, and noise. Her upcoming album Danse des Larmes, set for release on March 28th via the Athens-based label Heat Crimes, follows her acclaimed debut Veils, a bold seven-part audiovisual body horror soundtrack that spiralled out from her long-held passion and work in the field of in theater, cinema and opera. Those elements are still present on Danse des Larmes, but by examining her past, Csiszér is able to reach into the future, amalgamating gothic horror and speculative science-fiction. VÍZ’s live act has been described as eerie and captivating—oscillating between avant-garde sci-fi opera and haunting incantations; creating hypnotic sound constructions that dissolve in catharsis.

CECILIA is a composer and performer from Quebec, Canada. She develops a surreal  soundtrack between dark fairy tale and poetic recital. Her songs are sensory encounters with melancholic infatuation that unfold through sculptural breaths, powerful vocals, and tactile sound textures. Her stage performances play with emotional intimacy and theatrical excesses, reflecting the introspective yet hallucinatory and reckless spirit of her recordings. She released her first EP, Charity Whore, in 2017 on Grooming Label, followed by her debut LP, Adoration, on Halcyon Veil in 2018. In 2021, she released Summer in Sexilia on Xquisite Releases. Her latest album, CHOEUR, came out on October 4, 2024, via the Milan-based label Haunter Records.

Violeta García is a cellist, improviser and composer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Based in Spain, she tours a lot with her band Blanco Teta. She is a performer in many art forms, including free improvisation, contemporary and trans-media experimental repertoire in violoncello and electronics and collaborations with dancers, film makers and visual artists. After years of studying classical and popular music on violon- cello and, later, contemporary composition and improvisation, Violeta has developed her own musical voice needed to emerge beyond outside specific genres.

Throughout Swiss composer and musician Hora Lunga’s work, the focus lies is on exploring boundaries, both musically and in terms of performance and content. Above all, genre designations lose all meaning, as the music always takes place within a dramaturgically conceived overall framework. In recent years, his projects have ranged from pop music produc- tions to experimental works and sound performances, as well astheatre and film productions. His ensemble WIRREN consists of up to fifteen performers.
