Following Fatima Moumouni’s conversation with Kübra Sekin on the subject of love, it’s time to party: Crip performance artist Edwin Ramirez will first perform a comedy set and then host a love-song karaoke session where everyone can sing their hearts out.
Edwin Ramirez (they/them or none) is an Afro-Dominican, non-binary Crip performance artist and cultural practitioner based in Zurich. They are best known as a co-founder of the queer-crip theatre project Criptonite, which, together with Nina Mühlemann, develops shows and workshops on various aspects of disability using drag, pop culture and the Aesthetics of Access. They are active in various areas of the Swiss cultural scene in an advisory and mediating capacity, for example as a board member of ArtFAQ or as a jury member of the Migros Story Lab. Accessibility, collective responsibility and care as part of artistic practice are themes they pursue with great passion.
