The publication also includes the backgrounds of all the 62 artists significantly involved in the projects.

As part of the vernissage, participants will read from «DURCH GERÄUSCHE». The reading was compiled and staged by Tim Zulauf, author and theatre director, together with Andreas Storm, long-time actor and dramaturg at KMU productions.

  • The reader «durch Geräusche» provides easy access to the three-part publication project «durch Geräusche / unter Wörtern / in Gesellschaft». It contains monologues, dialog passages, literary texts and a song from 16 projects from the last 22 years. The reader offers an introduction to the complex world of often site-specific performances and stage productions. It is published in paperback format, edited by Andreas Storm and Tim Zulauf.

Volume 1 «unter Wörtern» comprises a selection of 16 performance texts, some multilingual, as well as illustrations of situations and performances. It consists of purely artistic primary materials. The listed texts appear together with documentary photos without explanations. The book allows direct access to the text and image worlds of the projects.

Volume 2 «in Gesellschaft» brings together background material and reflections from sixteen performances created since 2002. Among other things, the author Suzanne Zahnd classifies the interplay of performance, text and visual media in various projects and provides access to research-based writing from her own practice. The result is an archive of situated knowledge that aesthetically and politically links Swiss urban and transnational contexts.
