Criptonite invites you to the next event in the online series ‘Care Webs’ on 10 December at 7 p.m.: How can

sensual, creative dramaturgies be created for blind and visually impaired audiences? What possibilities exist

beyond ‘classical’ audio description via headphones? How can cultural institutions better contribute to good

cooperation with blind and visually impaired artists? Nina Mühlemann and Edwin Ramirez will be talking to

various blind and visually impaired experts.

  • Criptonite is a crip-queer theatre project founded in 2020 by Nina Mühlemann and

    Edwin Ramirez. Their work focuses on the work of disabled artists

    , offer opportunities for disabled people who want to get involved in the arts,

    and work with accessibility as an aesthetic. Their performances deal with

    slow animals, address the history of eugenics in Switzerland, or use

    pleasure as a form of resistance. Criptonite's last piece, Creature Comforts, was

    shown at Tanzhaus Zurich in autumn 2023. Criptonite receives 4-year funding from the city of Zurich

    from 2024 to 2028. The new piece ‘Bioluminescence’ will premiere in July 2025
